MHI is seeking an
Industry Group Manager. This is a hybrid position in Charlotte, NC. MHI's 18 Industry Groups serve to examine industry-wide challenges in a unique safe-harbor setting with competitors and their customers on a level playing field. These groups bring together the leading providers of material handling, supply chain, logistics, users, and equipment manufacturers to work collaboratively with the shared goal of providing education, thought leadership and safe practices to supply chain and material handling industry practitioners.As Industry Group Manager, your role will include the following:Leading and managing several product or solution-focused industry groups, including planning, coordination, and facilitation of group meetings, activities, and initiatives with the ultimate goal of driving added value through increasing membership, member engagement, and group visibility to end users measured by NPS Scores and other metrics from member surveys.Assisting in the development and implementation of new program strategies and structure through research, membership guidance, and industry input to develop consensus-based initiatives and recommendations to achieve the organization’s mission.
Facilitating the discovery of the most pressing issues of concern to user companies and members in order to develop and communicate possible solutions. Performing gap analysis and frameworks for approaching industry-specific challenges and solutions with the goal of generating authoritative commentary, white papers, engineering standards, and improvement roadmaps for product services. Cross-collaborating with internal departments to identify and achieve initiatives is required.As an industry influencer, you will have direct access to industry thought leaders.

- Proven business acumen and leadership experience
- Ability to manage workload across multiple projects and deadlines, including the ability to develop and manage project timelines and stage deliverables
- Moderate to high level of proficiency is required in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- A demonstrated commitment to customer service and closing the communication loop
- Parliamentary Procedures (Robert’s Rules of Order) knowledge is a plus
- Ability to use various virtual conferencing platforms to conduct frequent live virtual meetings with members and potential membership candidates
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering or related field preferred
- Three to Five years of business experience minimum
- Experience in the Material Handling, Supply Chain or Logistics industry preferred
- Experience working with volunteers to accomplish goals in a membership-based environment
- Willingness and ability to travel 10 -15 % domestically
- Project Management Experience preferred
