A Brief Overview
Reports to a Vice President or Senior Vice President. Performs discipline assignments under supervision and takes on more responsibility, working more independently on small projects or aspects of large projects.
What you will do
- Independently perform the duties of an internal project manager
- Work is innovative and detail-oriented
- Managing highly visible/controversial projects and multiple, high-priority assignments.
- Work on and manage several projects or issues at the same time.
- Effectively supervise and manage project team members.
- Apply and use CGL internal Project Management protocols.
- Building recognition as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) within the industry and among clients and peers.
- Support and assist team with new business and identify 360 opportunities.
- Participate in RFQ/P preparations.
- Involved with BD pre-sale and relationship development activities by shadowing Market Sector Direct, ROL, or SVP.
- Develop capture plans for assigned project pursuits, reviewed by pursuit lead.
- Participates in pursuit interviews.
- Demonstrate knowledgeable of the principles of project budgeting and project management.
- Demonstrate knowledgeable of industry terminology, laws, practices, principles and regulations.
- Demonstrated interest in speaking at conferences, writing articles, participating in national committees.
- Ability to manage an on-site project team with day-to-day client contact
- Demonstrated ability to work successfully in conjunction with Project Director and client leadership
- Demonstrates ability to support and assist Business Development team with new project pursuits
- Has thorough knowledge of construction methods and means, construction sequencing, scheduling, estimating, and engineering principles and techniques
- Communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, construction issues and solutions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Building Sciences – Construction, Architecture, Preferred or
- Engineering Preferred
- 14+ year practical experience equivalency. Required and
- Some supervisory experience. Required and
- 4-6 years supervisory experience Required and
- Minimum 14 years related construction management or construction project experience. Required
- Some supervisory experience.
- Strong interpersonal skills and working relationship at various levels
- Strong analytical skills to research solutions for technical details
- 4+ years supervisory experience required.
- Proficiency in various computer software programs such as Microsoft Office, Bluebeam.
- Competency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign a plus.

- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and extensive criminal background checks.
