Job Summary

This position is responsible for reviewing and providing consulting to evaluate the degree of risk; accepts or rejects applications based on underwriting department policies for the most complex and non-routine application types including life, short-term and long-term disability, and critical illness. May perform a variety of related duties or travel to client sites to discuss / resolve application issues. Maintaining high-level of customer service with group policyholders and individual insureds. Participate in coaching, training and development of the Medical Underwriting team.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:* Bachelors Degree and 6 years of Medical Underwriting and/or Medical Insurance experience. Or 8 years of Medical Underwriting or Medical Insurance experience* Complete LOMA courses I & II.* Aptitude for math and critical thinking skills.* Problem solving and research skills. *THIS IS A FLEX ROLE WORKING 3 DAYS IN OFFICE AND 2 DAYS FROM HOME*#LI-HYBRID-FLEX

Base Pay Range

$53,500.00 - $118,100.00
