501428 Senior Systems Engineer
Work Location: Huntsville, ALSchedule: Full TimeRelocation: NegotiableIronMountain Solutions is looking for a Senior Systems Software Engineer to support our customerin Huntsville, AL. The candidate will support Aviation Mission Planning and Airspace Control / Management Systems in a team-focused, dynamic, collaborative, and mentoring environment on Redstone Arsenal. The ideal candidate will possess all the required skills and most of the desired skills.
Required Skills:
- System or software engineer/analyst with seven to ten years’ experience
- Complex problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Develop and maintain requirements traceability matrices.
- Experience working in an Acquisition Product Office
- Experience in work statement preparation (e.g., Statement of work [SOW], Performance Work Statements [PWS], Technical Directives or Task Description [TD])
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use tools or controls; normal physical activity (reach with hands and arms; climb stairs); and communicate effectively with all levels of employees and leadership. The employee must occasionally lift or move office products and supplies, up to 25 pounds.
Preferred Skills:
- Exposure to Agile Software Processes
- Exposure with Software Acquisition Pathway or other Adaptive Acquisition Framework
- Create specifications and enhancements for software products.
- Development and maintenance of an Integrated Master Schedule (IMS)
- Develop, write, and staff briefings to diverse groups.
- Strong Risk Management
Desired Skills:
- Exposure to aviation mission planning or tactical airspace control or management
- Exposure to Army Design Methodology and Military Decision-Making Process
Required Education, Knowledge, and Experience:
- A bachelor’s degree with 7+ years of related technical experience is required.
- Strong organization and record keeping skills.
- Ability to successfully comprehend and adhere to technical and operational standards/processes.
- Must be able to effectively interact with Government customers and contractors.
Clearance Requirements:
Current Secret clearance or ability to obtain a Secret clearance. Inability to obtain a final security clearance will result in candidate being ineligible for this position.
