Responsibilities:


  • Establish goals and direction for planning and buyer activities within the organization
  • Optimize material plans to the organization through developing, planning and implementing the master schedule
  • Determine and apply appropriate optimization methodologies to inventory using advanced planning tools
  • Enhance the current processes through the use of data
  • Manage/Lead Material Planners and Buyers providing continuous feedback and development
  • Provide input to business strategies
  • Ensure inventory and goals are met and drive the results

Qualifications and Experience:


Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Materials and Logistics, Operations Management or Engineering from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in inventory management and production control in a manufacturing environment; production planning, inventory management principles and practices and procurement
  • Previous management experience preferred

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Proficient project management skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively internally and externally
  • Proficient in ERP system management
  • Proficient Microsoft Office Applications
  • Demonstrated oral and written communication skills

LANGUAGE SKILLS


Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.  Ability to write simple correspondence.  Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS


Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.

REASONING ABILITY


Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.  Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.Other:
