Position Summary:
Mohawk Global is currently seeking an individual of high-integrity with an innate passion for sales and forging long-standing partnerships to join our Toronto-based team as an Account Executive. This is an excellent opportunity for the successful individual to help position us for strategic, long-term growth and expand Mohawk’s portfolio in the Canadian market by identifying and onboarding new clients, while continuing to provide the required first-class service that our existing client base has come to rely for on their most critical logistics needs.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Market end-to-end freight-forwarding solutions inclusive of international ocean, air, and truck shipments, and customs brokerage services.
- Contact business prospects and conduct sales calls on new and existing clients
- Create and maintain information on prospective and existing clients in client relationship management platform
- Create and deliver sales proposals to prospects and clients
- Demonstrate effective negotiation and closing techniques in securing profitable business across all products
- Perform all administrative duties timely
- Participate in client RFP’s and RFQ’s
- Ensure proper account set-up
- Conduct face to face and virtual meetings with potential and existing clients
- Participate in client business meetings including quarterly business reviews
Desired Skills/Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of experience selling freight forwarding and customs brokerage services
- Proven success in gaining new business through prospecting
- Strong presentation and business writing skills
- Ability to interact effectively with internal and external contacts at all levels
- Self-motivated individual with a high level of enthusiasm
- Ability to think strategically and demonstrates strong problem-solving capabilities
- Knowledge of supply chain management and knowledge of the transportation and logistics industry
Compensation package includes a competitive salary, commission plan, benefits, and RRSP match.
