The General Ledger Accountant is responsible for managing the full cycle of accounting functions, including supporting daily operations, overseeing month-end close processes, preparing required reports, and assisting with year-end audits. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead efforts to standardize all balance sheet reconciliations.
- Perform general ledger analysis and reconciliation of the company's balance sheet on a monthly basis.
- Prepare journal entries for month-end accruals, prepaid amortization, interest on debentures, and other transactions.
- Record cash transactions and complete monthly bank reconciliations.
- Assist in the preparation and execution of the year-end audit.
- Collaborate with other departments to maintain accurate records and provide accounting support.
- Provide assistance to the Assistant Controller and Controller as needed.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required.
- CPA certification is preferred.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience in general accounting.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently within a team-oriented environment.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint.
- Experience with Sage 300 or similar integrated accounting software.
- Well-organized, proactive, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

- Strong proficiency in written and spoken English, with the ability to communicate professionally and effectively with colleagues, clients, vendors, and other business contacts.
