How You Contribute to Pinnacle Transplant’s Success


The Senior IT Systems Administrator is responsible for maintaining and supporting the company’s entire IT infrastructure, ensuring its optimal performance through proactive maintenance and strategic planning. This role involves using extensive technical expertise to drive IT initiatives, addressing associate requests through various channels—ticketing systems, email, phone, or in-person—efficiently and with minimal disruption to daily operations. The Senior IT Systems Administrator will collaborate with associates and departments to implement solutions for both current and future IT needs.

This position carries a high level of responsibility, requiring the ability to manage critical systems and ensure uptime, including availability for after-hours work to address urgent issues or perform scheduled maintenance as necessary.Work hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm (flexible)Work environment: Office Environment with some interaction within ManufacturingLocation: North Phoenix, near 19th Avenue and Pinnacle Peak RoadPay Rate:  $101,000 - $121,197, dependent on experience 

What You Will Do


  • Maintain the IT Infrastructure: You will be the primary party responsible for maintaining the overall health of the company’s IT infrastructure, including managing servers, maintaining network integrity, performing migrations and upgrades, and decommissioning outdated devices and services.
  • Cloud Computing Management: You will oversee the deployment, management, and maintenance of cloud-based infrastructure and services. This includes ensuring proper integration of cloud solutions with on-premise systems, managing cloud storage, optimizing resources, ensuring data security and privacy in the cloud, and collaborating with external cloud service providers as needed.
  • Cybersecurity Oversight: You will be responsible for safeguarding the company’s IT systems by implementing and maintaining robust cybersecurity measures. This includes monitoring for security vulnerabilities, managing firewalls, conducting regular system audits, applying security patches, and ensuring compliance with relevant security protocols and industry best practices.
  • Lead Hardware and Software Initiatives: You will take the lead in reviewing, evaluating, and implementing solutions related to hardware and software acquisitions, upgrades, and updates, ensuring compatibility and alignment with company goals.
  • Drive Project Execution: You will manage various company-driven IT projects, handling the full scope, from planning and pricing to sourcing, testing, documentation, validation, implementation, and ensuring timely delivery.
  • Provide Technical Support and Troubleshooting: As the primary point of contact, you will troubleshoot and resolve technical issues for a diverse range of software applications and hardware systems, ensuring minimal downtime for users.
  • Vendor Management: You will manage relationships with external vendors for the acquisition of hardware, software, licensing, and other necessary resources, as well as coordinate the implementation of projects and solutions.
  • Documentation and Technical Writing: You will be responsible for creating and maintaining technical documentation, including network schematics, project details, user instructions, and technical manuals, ensuring accuracy and clarity for future reference.
  • Equipment Installation and Configuration: You will install, configure, and maintain computers, network devices, and other IT equipment, ensuring optimal performance across the company.
  • Stay Current with Technology: You will be expected to maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant technology, equipment, and applicable laws, regulations, standards, and systems.
  • After-Hours Availability: You will take ownership of system maintenance and reboots, including being available to work extended hours as necessary to ensure system stability and uptime.
  • Manage IT Inventory: You will be responsible for tracking and managing the company’s hardware and software inventory, ensuring accurate records and proper asset utilization.
  • Hardware Setup and Replacement: You will handle the setup and deployment of new hardware and replace obsolete equipment as needed, ensuring the company’s systems are up to date.
  • End-User Support and Communication: You will provide guidance to end-users, explaining policies and procedures, and translating technical information into understandable terms for non-technical users. You will maintain communication throughout incidents, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Ensure Compliance: You will ensure adherence to FDA, AATB, and state regulations, as well as internal PTT policies and procedures, across all IT-related activities.
  • Additional Responsibilities: You will handle miscellaneous job-related duties as needed, and other tasks as assigned by the Director of IT or PTT Senior Leadership.

What Qualifications You Will Bring


  • Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years’ experience or in lieu of degree, 6+ years’ experience required 
  • In-depth knowledge and experience with Microsoft Server OS (Server 2008 R2-Server 2022) required. 
  • Highly Proficient in networking concepts (VLANs, subnetting, routing, DNS, DHCP, wireless networking), ability to perform network deployments, setup firewalls, and troubleshoot networking issues is required.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office/Office 365 software suite(s) required.
  • Physical ability to lift, carry and manipulate up-to 50lbs is required.
  • In-depth knowledge and experience of Active Directory and M365 is required.
  • Strong proficiency with Windows desktop operating systems required.  
  • Highly proficient with Hyper-V and/or VMware ESXi, including legacy systems.
  • Scripting experience is highly preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge and experience with SQL Server are preferred.
  • Experience with Linux is preferred.
  • Experience supporting Microsoft Dynamics is preferred.
  • Thorough Understanding of regulatory compliance, FDA, HIPAA, cGMP, PCI, GDPR is preferred.

Who You Will Partner With


  • Regular Communication with the Sr. Director of IT to ensure IT infrastructure and IT initiatives are being implemented and communicated effectively and efficiently.
  • Daily written and verbal communication with the Director of IT to ensure duties are understood and executed in a timely manner.
  • Regular communication with the company associates regarding partnership, IT tickets, etc. 

Where You Will Work


Full Time position (40 hours or more) based in Arizona. Hours may include evenings and weekends to perform tasks outlined in the job description.Position requires entry to a clean room environment where protective clothing such as hoods, face masks, gloves, boots, and coveralls are required.
