Health Care Associate

NCQA is hiring! We are adding a Health Care Associate (HCA) who will support multiple internally and externally funded projects and NCQA programs focused on health care policy, performance measures development and implementation of quality review and oversight activities. The HCA will gather and synthesize information obtained from various sources, including literature and evidence reviews and consulting with methodological and content experts; perform and manage tasks in all phases of projects including research, data collection, data analysis, and production of draft reports and proposals.

Primary Responsibilities:


  • Support projects by researching and synthesizing information and pertinent data. This will include:
  • Gather and synthesize information obtained from literature reviews and stakeholders to support project requirements.
  • Review and interpret data analyses.
  • Assist with preparing meeting presentation materials, including PowerPoint slides and handouts.
  • Support the development of project deliverables and the management of projects. This will include:
  • Develop drafts of project deliverables including reports for consumers, purchasers and regulators, and technical specifications.
  • Plan and manage project tasks. Accountable for quality and timely completion of work.
  • Coordinate the formation and maintenance of stakeholder advisory groups that inform measures development and other research projects.
  • Assist with organizing project meetings.
  • Aid in proofreading, editing and production of reports, proposals, and presentations.
  • Customer service and communication
  • Draft internal communication (written and oral)
  • Draft and help finalize external communications (written and oral)
  • Assist in internal presentations.
  • Project coordination
  • Assist with management of timelines.
  • Prepare written summaries of meetings.
  • Assist with notetaking during stakeholder advisory groups.
  • Assist with meeting scheduling and set-up.

Requirements:


  • Bachelor’s degree + 2-3 years post-baccalaureate experience or master’s degree in public health, health policy, health administration or business administration.
  • Basic knowledge of health care systems and health care policy.
  • Demonstrated ability to work successfully in a team environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to perform several tasks/projects simultaneously with an uncompromising level of attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)

Compensation & Benefits:


  • For new hires, this position pays in the range of $60K - $65K per year, depending on experience.
  • This position is eligible for an annual incentive bonus, payable in accordance with policy.
