Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain our backend systems using modern JavaScript and TypeScript.
- Contribute to the development of our distributed microservice architecture.
- Work closely with our GraphQL-driven services.
- Document system functionality and processes for users and the development team.
- Debug, troubleshoot, and optimize backend systems.
- Collaborate in the testing process using appropriate frameworks and tools.
- Collaborate with frontend developers and other team members to establish objectives and design more functional, cohesive codes to enhance the user experience.
- Engage in continuous learning to stay updated with the latest changes in backend development and best practices.
- Collaborate with the development team for seamless integration and efficient deployment processes.
Required Skills / Abilities:
- 2-3 years of experienced in modern (ES6+) JavaScript and TypeScript.
- At least 2-3 years of relevant experience in backend development.
- 2+ years of experience with GraphQL, preferred.
- Experience in TypeScript testing frameworks (Examples: Jest, Mocha, Chai)
- Strong communication skills in both writing and speech.
- Ability to problem-solve and think critically.
- Familiarity with distributed microservice architecture.
- Familiarity with version control systems, preferably Git.
- Hands-on experience in test-driven development.
