Our Revenue Specialist team at Plaid combines deep product and industry knowledge and is focused on bringing new and specialized Plaid products and solutions to an ever-broadening set of businesses. The team is aligned to our Goal Based Teams (GBT - ie Business Units) and has shared ownership with the GBT on financial and adoption metrics for new and specialized products.As a member of the Revenue Specialist team, you will be the individual helping us achieve this vision and accelerate the growth of new and specialized products in the market, specific to our Credit and Lending verticals.
Your focus will vary depending on the stage of the product development lifecycle - you’ll be leading product pilots with early customers, and be specializing across the revenue team to accelerate the growth of a specified product to market. You will work closely with Sales, Account Management, Client Engineering, and Product Marketing to identify, sell and close deals specific to the credit and lending space. This role will focus on selling into Plaid’s Enterprise, and Banking & Wealth prospects and customers.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the complete sales funnel for new and specialized products & features (building pipeline, selling, signing deals) within Plaid’s Credit suite, specifically the Plaid Consumer Report product.
- Partner with Account Executives, Account Managers, Customer Engineers and Product Marketing to hit product and solution area revenue goalsFocus on sales readiness for bringing new products & features to market (post-MVP products -- beta stage and beyond)
- Responsible for authoring or updating the sales playbook that will enable scaling of early product sales to repeatable motion by scaled sales org (e.g. developing the GTM playbook, co-selling until product maturation)
- Scale and enable a sales process across many different customer types and sellers
- Work cross-functionally to improve the client onboarding experience as they build with Plaid, collecting and translating customer and partner feedback into meaningful product insights for our Product, Marketing, and Engineering teams
Qualifications
- 8+ years of work experience, with 5+ years of sales experience in a new-revenue or sales specialist role (quota carrying), or sales engineering role, and a strong track record of closing deals
- Experience working with upmarket customers in the Enterprise and/or Banking and Wealth space
- Deep industry expertise in Credit or Lending
- Strong communication and presentation skills, and an ability to build relationships with prospects and customers, up to the C-suite
- Ability to sell a technical, complex solution to a business buyer
- Experience building a targeted sales plan to hit revenue goals across existing and new customersStrong collaboration skills and ability to work across a variety of internal stakeholders
- Excitement to work in a high-growth environment and to help build processes and scale product growth across the revenue team
- Desire to get (more) technical and the ability to learn the ins and outs of Plaid's APIs
$127,008 - $189,216 a yearTarget base salary for this role is between $127,008 and $189,216 per year. Additional compensation in the form(s) of equity and/or commission are dependent on the position offered. Plaid provides a comprehensive benefit plan, including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k).
