Production Coordinator

Hermeus is an aerospace and defense technology company founded to radically accelerate air travel by delivering hypersonic aircraft. The company aims to develop hypersonic aircraft quickly and cost-effectively by integrating hardware-rich, iterative development with modern computing and autonomy. This approach has been validated through design, build, and test of the company’s first combined turbojet-ramjet engine and is now being scaled through its first flight vehicle program, Quarterhorse. Hermeus is also developing Darkhorse — an uncrewed hypersonic aircraft designed to deliver unique asymmetric capabilities to the warfighter.
As the Production Coordinator, you will be responsible for enabling smooth logistics operations through attention to detail, organization, and a strong sense of urgency as well as assisting with building and testing manufacturing hardware on the floor. The ideal candidate will be safety conscious, curious and willing to learn, and a strong team player. The ability to solve problems quickly and provide superior customer service will be essential to this role. This position will be a non-exempt role reporting to a Senior Manufacturing Engineer in our LA facility. 

Responsibilities


  • Shipping & Receiving- Receive all packages that are coming inbound into the factory and assist with offloading trucks as needed. 
  • Inventory – Responsible for placing all items in respected areas, location, and bins, as well as assisting with auditing of inventory. 
  • Shipping – Ship all packages that need to go outbound of the factory in a timely manner. 
  • Equipment – Utilize the forklift when necessary to facilitate inventory relocation and organization, as well as assist with inspection of Hermeus owned vehicles as needed. 
  • Assist other departments with simple builds and tests, shadowing under current manufacturing and integration technicians, with general use of hand tools and integration equipment. 
  • Assist with various material handling duties as needed. 
  • Perform ongoing tasks to keep the factory area safe, clean, and organized. 
  • Perform and enter daily cycle counts each morning prior to receiving stock. 

About You


  • 2+ years working in a warehouse, logistics facility, or related work environment 
  • Basic understanding of Windows and Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel) 
  • Experience driving a forklift 
  • Experience using hand tools 
  • Hands on experience, either personal or professional preferred 
  • Ability to lift 25 pounds
