As a Coffee Equipment Senior Field Technician , you will play a vital role in ensuring the optimal performance of our café’s espresso and coffee machines. This position requires a hands-on approach to installing, diagnosing, and repairing equipment while providing remote troubleshooting support to our General Managers and hourly teams. You’ll be responsible for maintaining an efficient parts inventory, performing regular preventative maintenance, and ensuring accurate field report documentation.
This role will contribute to essential projects that uphold our commitment to delivering exceptional coffee experiences through well-maintained specialty equipment. This role is based out of our Brooklyn, HQ office, will report into the Specialty Equipment Service Manager, and require travel to markets we operate in such as D.C. and Boston.

What you’ll own:
- Install, diagnose, and repair Espresso/coffee machines efficiently
- Manage Parts Inventory
- Organize the schedule for other technicians in managers absence
- Evaluate our operations teams concerns and professionally communicate resolution as needed
- Provide accurate and timely electronic documentation of field reports
- Stay informed about the latest trends and technologies in the coffee industry
- Support GMs and AGMs with remote Specialty Equipment troubleshooting
- Support our Service Team Manager with important projects related to coffee equipment preventative maintenance
- Perform quarterly preventative maintenance on all specialty coffee equipment
- Follow through with regular cafe check-ins
- Basic Eversys Telemetry monitoring
- Operate as a first responder for field tickets and comms in SFT’s absence
- Ad-hoc support of facilities, construction & design, tech and NSO verticals if business requires and your bandwidth allows
Qualifications:
- Drivers license required
- Ability to be on call and/or work weekends as business requires
- 3 - 4 years of experience in coffee equipment maintenance
- Some travel to Blank Street markets outside of NY occasionally required
- The ability to critically think and problem solve over the phone and in situ
- Knowledge of general maintenance outside of the coffee space
- A passion for being hands on and in the field

Benefits:
- $68,000 - $78,000 annual base salary
- Blank Street, in good faith, believes that the posted salary range is accurate for this role in New York City at the time of posting. Our salaries are rooted in the desire to pay competitively relative to our organization size and industry, reflecting just one part of the total compensation package. Additional components include equity, healthcare benefits, paid time off and various work perks (commuter benefits, free coffee). Details will be discussed during the interview process. Blank Street may pay more or less than the posted range based on factors such as relevant experience and skills, qualifications and location, among others. This range may be modified in the future.
