What You Will Do
As a member of the Quality Assurance team reporting to the QA Manager, you will be responsible for designing and building test automation framework, writing and executing manual and automation tests as part of our quality assurance process. We are part of a fast-paced, agile product development team working toward more application test coverage and continuous integration within our testing process. You’ll have the opportunity to test our application in order to help ensure quality and identify problems before releases and during the development life-cycle.

How You Will Spend Your Days
- Designing and developing test automation framework and test cases
- Write test plans that accurately reflect test cases and test efforts
- Reproduce and look into issues brought up by other departments
- Perform monthly releases by packaging code, running smoke tests, and running automated regression tests
- Be a subject matter expert in at least one area of the application
- Work with the development team on any test failures and bugs found
- Collaborate with other QA team members and Software Engineers on best practices and best ways to write tests
- Write and execute manual tests occasionally for bugs and large features
- Perform exploratory testing throughout the application
- Write and execute tests while focusing on customer experience
- Be an advocate for our customers when testing and when issues arise
What You Bring to This Role
- BS in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or similar discipline
- 5+ years working in a technical or software related field
- 5+ years’ experience in designing & developing test infrastructure and tool development with at least one of the following programming languages – JavaScript, Python, or PHP
- 3+ years of experience with JavaScript
- 3+ years of experience with building automation test with Cypress
- Experience building automation frameworks
- Solid understanding of QA methodology, testing techniques and approaches
Even Better if You Have
- Experience writing automated tests in a Continuous Integration (CI) systems
- Experience building comprehensive test strategies and work independently on complex projects
- Skilled in building robust, scalable, and high-quality test automation solutions for functional and regression testing
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced product development team
- Familiar with Agile/Lean methodologies
- Familiar with test methodologies and writing test cases and plans
- Passionate about software quality and a great customer experience
- An organized professional capable of managing your time, tasks, and priorities without daily guidance
Compensation for this position includes an annual base salary of $100,000 to $115,000, and eligibility for an annual bonus.Alchemer provides a rich benefits package that includes health and disability coverages, an incredible 401(k) option that includes a per-payroll match and immediate vesting and unlimited paid time off.
