Job Description:
What you'll do:
Design and develop automated tests using Selenium, Cypress, Postman, and other automation frameworks.
Create comprehensive test cases from stories/requirements, covering all basic, alternate, and exception/edge scenarios to ensure a high-quality product.
Plan and implement both functional and end-to-end tests for UI and API.
Keep existing test cases updated and relevant.
Participate in technical design reviews and share valuable feedback.
Understand production environment issues, verify fixes, build test automation, and track them to closure.
Gain an understanding of the product ecosystem and its integration with external systems to enhance product quality and increase test coverage through automation.
Continuously suggest and implement ways to develop maintainable and scalable test automation systems.
Exhibit a quality-first mindset and drive continuous improvement of the testing process.
Prevent defect leaks in areas of ownership.
Participate in automation code reviews to ensure high-quality code.
Stay up-to-date with the latest testing methodologies and tools.
Mentor junior team members and drive discussions for continuous improvement within the team.
Take responsibility and accountability for overall quality, and be capable of independently managing tasks and driving progress.
Create and maintain reusable scripts for non functional tests and develop process guides for other team members to follow.
You should have:
Degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
4+ years of QA and automation experience
Hands-on experience in test automation and scripting tools like Selenium.
Experience in doing non-functional testing like usability and performance testing.
Working experience with relational databases like (Oracle/SQLServer/snowflake etc).
Experience in developing automated test suites for execution with CI/CD pipelines.
Ability to analyze and troubleshoot complex defects
Ability to quickly learn new technologies and methodologies in a self-starting environment
Experience gathering and investigating test metrics to drive improvements
Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to lead discussions
Growth mindset and willingness to collaborate with developers, product managers and SDETs
Good understanding of software development lifecycle.
Good to have
Experience in working with API testing.
Knowledge of RESTful APIs and ability to test APIs using Postman or similar tools.
Solid working experience of Cloud, multi-tenant and SaaS models
