Their primary role is to help streamline sales operations, improve efficiency, and provide data-driven insights to enhance sales performance. Here's a breakdown of their typical responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities


  • Data Analysis: Collect, analyze, and interpret sales data (such as revenue, sales volume, customer trends) to provide actionable insights that help drive sales strategy. They use various tools (e.g., Excel, Salesforce, Looker) to generate reports, dashboards, and forecasts.
  • Sales Forecasting: Develop sales forecasts and models to help predict future sales performance. This helps the sales team set realistic goals and quotas.
  • Process Optimization: Identify bottlenecks or inefficiencies in sales processes and work to implement solutions. This may involve refining sales processes, enhancing data quality, and automating manual tasks.
  • Performance Tracking: Monitor and assess key performance indicators (KPIs) like lead conversion rates, sales cycle length, customer acquisition costs, and more. They then provide actionable insights to improve these metrics.
