About the Job / Key Responsibilities
CENSUS is expanding its IT team and we are currently looking for a System Administrator in Thessaloniki. At CENSUS we rely on our robust IT infrastructure to enable seamless operations and support the productivity of our diverse team. We are seeking a skilled and proactive System Administrator to join our team and provide first-line support, manage our network infrastructure, and ensure smooth onboarding and ongoing support for both on-site and remote employees.
Main Tasks
- Serve as the primary point of contact for user support across all company systems, including MS365, Atlassian, Entersoft ERP, Snipe-IT, and other critical software platforms.
- Troubleshoot and resolve IT support inquiries for both remote users and on-site employees to maintain operational efficiency.
- Administer and manage user accounts, groups, and workstations across various platforms (Mac, Windows, Linux).
- Setup, configure, and maintain Linux servers and VMs as required by operational demands.
- Ensure secure access and permissions to company resources by setting up and maintaining access controls, VPN configurations and firewall policies.
- Manage and configure network components, including VLANs, VPCs, subnetting, DNS, and firewall configurations, to ensure seamless connectivity and efficient network operations.
- Oversee network infrastructure to ensure the integrity, performance, and security of our systems.
- Facilitate the onboarding process by creating necessary user accounts, provisioning workstations, and providing basic training on company applications and systems.
- Provide ongoing training and support to users as needed, enhancing overall technical proficiency within the team.
- Maintain comprehensive technical documentation, guides, and IT processes to ensure clarity and consistency in system usage and management.
- Quickly troubleshoot and resolve any issues or outages to minimize disruptions to daily operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a System Administrator, IT Support Specialist, or similar role.
- Solid understanding of network and system administration
- Hands-on admin experience with Mac, Windows, and Linux environments.
- Knowledge of Python, Bash.
- AWS deployment, Terraform, Docker containers knowledge are considered a plus.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to resolve technical issues swiftly and effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an aptitude for providing clear and user-friendly training.
- Ability to work from our offices in Thessaloniki.
