Mechanical Integration Engineer to join their facility in Sunnyvale, CA. This position is a contract with an expected duration of 12 months with the opportunity to be extended.While on contract with

  • $160k - $200k annually/DOE

Primary Function:


The Mechanical Integration Engineer is responsible for leading the development and deployment of advanced testing systems for next-gen microLED display technology. This position focuses on aligning detailed component precision with full-scale production requirements, bridging design and manufacturing.

Essential Job Functions - Responsibilities:


  • Lead the end-to-end design of mechanical test systems and interface solutions for production environments.
  • Develop modular docking and testing solutions, integrating precision components with broader system requirements.
  • Coordinate technical decisions across teams and with external partners to align project goals. Some EE Design experience preferred.
  • Perform tolerance analysis and implement adjustments for fine-tuned system alignment.
  • Configure testing setups with high accuracy requirements, integrating devices and sensors to meet specified tolerances.
  • Oversee the setup and configuration of large test boards, optimizing for functionality and space.
  • Lead the rollout of automated testing solutions on the production floor, focusing on seamless integration.
  • Define and refine production testing procedures to ensure alignment with engineering specifications.
  • Optimize systems for reliable, high-throughput production with a focus on quality and efficiency.

Education and Experience:


(Knowledge, skills, & abilities)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (Master's preferred).
  • 10+ years of experience in high-precision mechanical systems and production integration.
  • Experienced with CAD software, well-versed in mechanical control systems, and knowledgeable in thermal management solutions.
  • Strong leadership skills in system design, with expertise in large-scale system alignment and optimization.
  • Demonstrated success in production environments and technical collaboration.
  • Vision to create complete solutions with component and system-level expertise.
  • Background check required upon acceptance of an offer.

Work Environment:


Standard office environment with normal amounts of office related conditions. Occasionally may be required to work in environmental conditions that emulate typical user environments in order to facilitate design testing and validation.  Occasionally may be required to travel as required to other facilities, clients or suppliers.
