We are looking for a Lead Driver to be responsible for operating an independent program of our company's transportation-related activities. In this role, you will spend the majority of your day in a company vehicle completing a daily route of pickups and deliveries to and from our customer’s homes. You will also assist in several other ad hoc tasks such as but not limited to supply management, vehicle repair coordination, vehicle cleaning coordination, and facility communication.
We are looking for a Lead Driver who MUST be extremely reliable and should excel at completing all duties of the driving role by ensuring that all policies, procedures, safety and customer service standards are met. In addition, you should have adequate time management skills to assist in ad hoc tasks.This role directly reports to our Operations Manager and starts and ends their day at The Laundry Room located at 901 E Arrowood Road, Charlotte, NC 28217.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Use our company vehicles to pick up and deliver laundry and dry cleaning to and from our customers' residences, businesses, and deliver to our facilities for cleaning.
- Use navigation and routing programs to follow detailed pickup and delivery instructions based on each customer's preference.
- Communicate special requests from the customer back to the Operations team.
- Completed necessary daily and weekly tasks to ensure the operation will continue to run smoothly such as supply management, vehicle repair coordination, and vehicle cleaning coordination.
- Other duties as assigned.
Lead Driver Requirements:
- Must have a clean driving record and at least 5 years of driving history
- 25+ years old strongly preferred by insurer
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check
- Dependable and passionate about your work
- Detail oriented
- Flexible Schedule to match daily demand
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift and carry 30+ pound laundry bags up to 50 times a day.
- Must be able to get in and out of your vehicle throughout your route at a consistent pace
