We are seeking a Mid-Senior Full-Stack Engineer to support the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) by modernizing a suite of applications for an electronic portal system. This role involves working on a long-term government contract with a technical solutions provider, focusing on delivering innovative solutions through advanced software development practices.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and enhance full-stack applications using Java, Node.js, AWS, JavaScript, and React.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design solutions, and ensure timely delivery.
- Participate in the migration and modernization of legacy systems to cloud-based infrastructure.
- Optimize backend and frontend performance to ensure a seamless user experience.
- Implement best practices for CI/CD pipelines, testing, and version control.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Computer Science degree or related.
- 5+ years of experience in software development, ideally in a senior-level role 7+.
- Expertise in Java with hands-on experience in Node.js.
- Proficiency in AWS cloud services and JavaScript/React for frontend development.
- Experience working in Agile teams
- Strong problem-solving abilities, with a focus on clean and efficient coding practices.
