We have been voted the best place to work for many years.Onsite RolePosition Summary:The Automation Technician will assemble automation work cells and work on customer engineering projects. This position will assist in shipping and receiving components for projects and  the automation engineers with the operational testing of instrumentation on the projects.   Responsibilities:

  • Assemble automation workcells and custom engineering projects. 
  • Configure electrical, pneumatic, and communications on automation workcells and custom engineering projects based on design schematics. 
  • Label and organize all workcell wiring. 
  • Unpack, arrange, level, and secure automation workcell tables. 
  • Mount instrumentation and shelves to workcells. 
  • Assist Shipping/Receiving to keep components organized and the shop clean. 
  • Assist engineering team with operational testing on instrumentation. 
  • Performs all other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma. 
  • Relevant trade-skill school degree desirable.
  • At least 1-2 years of experience with hand-tools (drills, saws, wrenches, etc), including cutting, drilling, and tapping aluminum or similar.
  • Experience working with extruded aluminum profile (such as 80/20) is preferred. 
  • Experience moving, packing, and installing with laboratory instruments is preferred. 

Training, Skills, Knowledge:

  • Excellent attention to detail and drive for quality.
  • Ability to read Engineering drawings.
  • Able to use electric and pneumatic tools. 
  • Basic computer skills are required, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to operate a forklift is desired,
  • ​​​​​​​Must be task focused and have a results-oriented attitude and approach to the job responsibilities 

Compensation and Benefits
