If you like a fast-paced environment and a team structure that provides support, training, and development, then apply today!The Commercial Project Manager (PM) supports the Vortex Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Shared Services team in the implementation of commercial strategies and the integration of newly acquired companies.

This role will focus on supporting acquisitions in their adoption of Vortex’s culture, processes, and strategic objectives, along with identifying, proposing and potentially executing company-wide initiatives around improvement and efficiencies in processes, systems, and methods. The Commercial PM impacts every area of the business by creating partnerships and accountability. This position involves significant collaboration and scheduling across multiple departments and regular travel to ensure effective hands-on leadership.Responsibilities:

  • Integration Strategy Development: Outline the framework in which acquisitions will be evaluated, scheduled and integrated based on combined knowledge of acquired systems and processes and meshing with Vortex’s systems and processes.
  • Implement Commercial Strategies: Work closely with Vortex management to implement commercial strategies across Vortex’s products and services portfolios.  Manage checklists and teams to ensure timely and high-quality deliverables.
  • Develop and Execute Integration Planning: Create and maintain a comprehensive integration plan that outlines the strategic objectives, key milestones, and timelines for the acquisition integration process.
  • Lead Cross-Functional Teams: Build and lead high-performing cross-functional teams to ensure seamless collaboration and execution.

  • Manage Project Risks and Issues: Identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks and issues that may impact the project process, taking prompt actions to resolve them and maintain project momentum and critical path.

  • Ensure Effective Communication: Establish clear communication channels and regularly update stakeholders on project progress, challenges, and solutions.
  • Monitor and Measure Performance: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the success of the strategies and identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with Senior Leadership: Work closely with senior executives to align the commercial and integration strategies with the overall business objectives.

  • Monitor and Track Critical Path and Deadlines: Track and provide weekly schedule updates and other metrics to evaluate commercial project success, while identifying areas for continuous improvement.

  • Understanding of Information Systems: Possesses a strong understanding of information systems, and can leverage this knowledge to streamline operations, improve data accuracy, and enhance decision-making.
  • Process Workflow Design and Optimization: Design and optimize process workflows to improve efficiency, reduce redundancy, and enhance overall operational effectiveness throughout the business.
  • Support Board of Director Meeting Preparation: Assist in the preparation of Board of Director meeting materials, including slide decks, ensuring clear and concise communication of key milestones and achievements.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to plan, organize, and execute projects efficiently.
  • Good understanding of connected technologies.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve issues proactively.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively convey information to diverse audiences.
  • Strong understanding of financial and operational metrics.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field.
  • Master of Business Administration degree preferred
  • Proven experience in managing complex Commercial Projects, preferably in the construction sector.
  • Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools

  • Demonstrated “big-picture” thinking
