What we’re looking for:
Nexamp is looking to hire a Construction Program Manager. As the Construction Program Manager, you are an experienced manager with vast contract and project management experience and experience developing and building solar PV and storage projects. You will play an extensive role in guiding the project management team through the project lifecycle and oversee multiple project managers at any given time. You will work directly with the Regional Director of Construction to ensure the regional needs and goals of the construction teams are met.
You willhelp to ensure that all project sites are built to Nexamp standards and in accordance with contract documents, program dates, milestone requirements, and drawings. You will provide support and guidance for the project management teams and will play a key role as the company grows into new and developing markets.This role will be hybrid/remote based on the West Coast. You will report to the Regional Construction Director.
What you’ll do:
- Work with the Director of Construction and project teams to ensure all projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Work closely with the Construction Manager and Commissioning & Close Out Lead to ensure all construction teams are aligned.
- Review and track project progress across the regional portfolio and communicate the status to the Director of Construction regularly.
- Provide due diligence reviews of development and contract documents before construction to identify any risks or discrepancies with Nexamp standards.
- Review for accuracy and approve project invoices for all contracts.
- Provide support to the project management teams regarding engineering and procurement needs.
- Manage construction risk across a regional portfolio by reviewing schedules, regional dashboards, COIs (Certificate of Insurance), line waivers, BOLs, warranty documentation, finance requirements, and project reporting.
- Diligently monitor and manage project progress, deliverables, schedule, and budget across a large portfolio of projects.
- Minimize Nexamp’s exposure and risk across project construction and commissioning.
- Provide a link between internal and external stakeholders and maintain open lines of communication between the same.
- Maintain an awareness of new and emerging technologies and the potential application for client engagements.
- Oversee and mentor Project Managers and Senior Project Managers for regional and nationwide construction compliance and standards.
What you’ll bring:
- 10+ years of construction management at a senior level PM (Project Manager) or higher, managing direct reports, solar industry experience with a successful record of accomplishment in project management.
- 4-year college degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent work experience in the clean energy space.
- Utility-scale solar/BESS experience is preferred.
- Experience with Hawaii project work is preferred.
- Knowledge of OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Act) Safety standards; OSHA 10 is a minimum requirement. OSHA 30 is preferred.
- Maintains professional licenses in trade (i.e., CSL, NABCEP (North American Board-Certified Energy Practitioners) PV, etc.).
- Valid and current driver’s license.
