The Position:


Makpar has an exciting opportunity for a Hardware Refresh Tech to join our growing team. The Hardware Refresh Technician must apply fundamental concepts, processes, practices, and procedures on technical assignments. Must perform work that requires practical experience and training. The Hardware Refresh Technician will also provide administrative and technical support.  Work is performed under supervision. 

Role Specific Duties:


  • Process the return of end of life/break fix machines from customer.
  • Process the returns of peripherals to include monitors, docking stations, keyboards, mice, headsets, cables, power supplies and adapters
  • Process mobile device returns
  • BIOS password resets
  • PC imaging for hardware refresh and any other imaging requests
  • Perform PC diagnostics
  • Disposal of out of service assets
  • Additional duties as needed
  • Assist the Government with equipment disposalIT-related equipment, Work with the site personnel to have the equipment shipped to the Government-directed location or have its ownership transferred to the site.
  • Create and update daily, weekly, monthly and other project reports, under the guidance of the program manager and continual service improvement manager, to send to the federal government as part of project documentation and deliverables management.

Required Qualifications:


  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associates or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • A+ Certification preferred.
  • The candidate should have six months to one year of experience with the following:
  • Remedy Helix.
  • MS Office suite, specifically MS Word and MS Excel.
  • Superb oral, written, and communication skills essential.
  • Installation and maintenance of Windows OS
  • Installation and maintenance of mobile devices
  • Installation/updating of desktop software.
  • Remote desktop connections
  • Antivirus support
  • Backup and recovery
  • Desktop performance monitoring and optimization
  • Candidates must be a US Citizen or a Legal Permanent Resident (Green Card status) for 3 years and be Federal Tax compliant.
