As an Operations Intern, you will assist in various aspects of supply chain management, inventory control, and process optimization.

This internship offers valuable exposure to the world of physical commodities where you will gain hands-on experience in the crucial areas of supply chain and operations management.   • Assist with managing the product, documentation and payment flow to customers, suppliers, and freight providers for the physical trades of the assigned business unit.
  • Learn how to maintain accurate data in our ERP system as per company policy.
  • Aid colleagues in ensuring the import and export customs processes of the products traded are managed efficiently.
  • Look for ways to improve processes, maximize performance, and reduce costs.
  • Coordinate with various departments internally to understand logistical and compliance-based requirements related to individual trades.
  • Communicate with local and international team members.
  • Help colleagues manage relationships with key suppliers, customers, and service providers to ensure an effective execution of physical bulk and containerized trade operations.
  • Assist with special ad-hoc projects related to logistics and supply chain management.
  • Contribute to the growth/development of the operations team and to the positive working environment.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Actively pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain or related field required
  • 0-1 years’ internship experience in energy or other commodity businesses preferred
  • Product knowledge in gas, oil, and/or petrochemical markets preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Experience working in an ERP system preferred
  • Knowledge of Incoterms, Import/Export Procedures & Documents preferred
  • Dynamic interpersonal skills with strong verbal, writing and presentation skills
  • Capacity to work under time-sensitive business and reporting deadlines
  • Ability to effectively work as part of a team

This position will not require international or domestic travel.
