Summary:
This person is responsible for building and completing regular quality audits on open and closed claim files for personal lines auto and homeowners for the Branch Claims Department as well as regular targeted reviews. This role will help optimize Branch’s current QA strategy and forms to ensure consistent optimal outcomes.We’re building a technology-first and data-driven claims experience to enhance member experience while eliminating traditional claims inefficiencies. We are in need of an experienced claims professional to optimize claims infrastructure and serve as a process subject matter expert for the claims organization.
The ideal candidate should not be afraid to roll their sleeves up to ensure we’re achieving industry best outcomes all while making sure we’re delivering on our promise to our members.Branch has a preference for candidates in Ohio, but is open to candidates located in AZ, FL, GA, ID, IL, IN, KY, MI, NC, NJ, NV, NY, OH, OK, PA, SC, SD, TN, TX, and WI. This role may require occasional travel to Branch HQ in Columbus, OH.
Who You Are:
Strong investigative, analytical and multi-perspective skills
3-5 years of progressive claims experience with significant personal lines auto experience
3 year of claims QA or other auditing experience
Experience building, deploying and reporting audits
Litigation experience preferred
Broad knowledge of claims processes, practices and principles
Advanced knowledge of coverages, policy interpretation and liability principles
Strong ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing
Proficient using the Microsoft Office suite of programs with an emphasis on Word and Excel
Ability to travel when needed

Insurance designation (AIC, SCLA, CPCU, etc.) is a plus
Advanced knowledge of Quality Assurance principles
Ability to “Call the Play” with imperfect information
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Instinctually identify opportunities and create data-supported solutions
Comprehension of both technology and compliance and how each relates to the claims process
What You Do:
Conduct quality and compliance audits on claims for compliance with company best practices, processes or regulatory requirements
Perform and participate in calibration exercises with claims leaders
Identify and communicate opportunities, trends, leakage, and areas for process optimization
Act as administrator of the auditing tool and deploy all monthly leader audits and targeted audits for the claims department
Draft and deliver data and narrative reports
Lead audits from kick-off to closure
Provide feedback and recommendations to all levels of leadership all areas claims quality improvement
Work closely with various business departments
Support the strategy and operations of Branch claims
Drive initiatives for improving countrywide results
Other duties or projects as assigned or as needed
Compensation Range: $103K
