FLSA STATUS: ExemptDATE: October 2024DEPARTMENT: Information TechnologyLOCATION: Rogers, ARREPORTS TO: Director, ITJOB SUMMARYUnder the leadership of the Director of IT, the Systems Administrator will play a crucial role in supporting our internal IT operations, ensuring the smooth functioning of our network infrastructure, and assisting the IT director in managing our data centers. This role will possess a strong troubleshooting aptitude, solid networking concepts, and excellent communication skills.
This position will also provide technical assistance to approximately 100 users across multiple offices.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide timely and effective technical support to end-users.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues to resolution.
- Assist users with Microsoft 365 services, ensuring optimal productivity.
- Collaborate with the IT director to maintain and optimize the network infrastructure.
- Assist in the management and maintenance of three data centers.
- Implement and monitor security measures to safeguard the company's IT assets.
- Utilize ConnectWise for ticketing and workflow management.
- Administer Sophos security products, ensuring a secure IT environment.
- Stay updated on the latest features and best practices for ConnectWise and Sophos.
- Demonstrate a conceptual and practical understanding of networking principles.
- Assist in the configuration and troubleshooting of routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Communicate effectively with end-users, colleagues, and external vendors.
- Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of IT processes and configurations.
- Collaborate with the IT director to create and update standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Proven experience in a Systems Administrator or junior system administrator role.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to analyze and resolve technical issues.
- Knowledge of ConnectWise, Sophos security products, and Microsoft 365 services.
- Conceptual and practical understanding of networking principles.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to effectively present information using a consultative approach.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES AND INTERACTIONS WITH OTHERSThis position has no supervisory responsibilities. The Systems Administrator interacts frequently with various internal team members to coordinate client success.EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
- Associate degree in information technology, Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience required.
- Previous experience in a Systems Administrator or junior system administrator role.
