This role requires a deep understanding of data platforms, hands-on coding expertise, and experience developing API connectors. As a Solution/Data Architect, you will play a crucial role in guiding the technical direction of partner integrations while collaborating closely with external partners and internal stakeholders. You will also work closely with the CTO to define and implement the technical strategy for these integrations.Your responsibilities:
- Lead and Manage Development Team: Manage, oversee and mentor a team of developers and engineers, ensuring best practices in software development and architecture, and fostering a collaborative environment.
- Architect Integration Solutions: Design and implement scalable solutions for integrating data lake platforms, ERP systems, and automation vendors. Ensure these solutions align with the overall data strategy of the organization.
- Hands-On Development: Lead the development of integrations and connectors with third-party systems, utilizing APIs and other integration technologies. Be involved in all phases of development from conception to deployment.
- API and Connector Development: Develop and maintain APIs, data pipelines, and connectors that facilitate seamless data exchange between platforms and systems.
- Technical Leadership: Provide technical direction and oversight for integration projects, including architecture design, code reviews, and performance optimizations.
- Collaboration with Partners: Engage with external partners to ensure successful integrations, including technical discussions, requirement gathering, and troubleshooting.
- Stakeholder Communication: Work closely with internal teams, including product management, operations, and data science, to align integration efforts with business goals. Provide regular updates to the CTO and other stakeholders.
- Data Platform Expertise: Utilize your knowledge of data platforms and cloud technologies (such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure) to architect efficient and scalable integration solutions.
- Automation and ERP System Integration: Lead the integration efforts with ERP systems and automation vendors, ensuring that data flows seamlessly across systems to support business operations.
- Continuous Improvement: Continuously evaluate and recommend improvements to processes, tools, and technologies used for partner integrations, ensuring the team remains agile and innovative.
Key skills & qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on data platforms and system integration.
- Proven experience in leading a development team and delivering successful integration projects.
- Hands-on experience with API development, data connectors, and working with ERP systems, automation platforms, and data lakes.
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Python, Java.
- Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, web services, and microservices architecture.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) and their data services (e.g., S3, BigQuery, Azure Data Lake).
- Experience working with Data Platforms such as Data Factory, Databricks, Snowflake and ERP vendors such as Oracle, Sage, SAP, QuickBooks, Xero.
- Knowledge of database systems (SQL/NoSQL) and data warehousing solutions.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and automation vendors.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including partners and vendors.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Additional preferred skills:
- Experience with automation tools and platforms.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
- Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
