As our VP, New Business Development you will work with organizational leaders to build and execute on an outbound sales strategy, including the development of processes and reporting mechanisms, hiring and training a small team, and ensuring the team’s overall success.Responsibilities:Strategy and Team Development

  • Collaborate with CRO, CGO, VP of People and existing sales units to develop an outbound sales function for the business, including the creation of team processes, team structure, development of job descriptions, training materials, and hiring of outbound sales representatives
  • Oversee and manage day-to-day operations and performance of DOZR’s outbound sales function including oversight of the team’s books of business, targets, sale incentives and delivery of excellent client experience. Acting as a player and coach as needed. 
  • Partner with CMO to develop outbound strategy including industry association memberships, attendance and sponsorship of relevant industry events 
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to track sales team performance, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions to improve sales outcomes. 
  • Meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets 
  • Partner with business leaders to determine supply gaps and market opportunities
  • Collaborating with the Executive team to understand wider company goals and targets to define sales OKRs and success metrics.

Reporting & Sales Process Development

  • Collaborate with CRO and Director, Inside Sales to determine customer profiles and establish transition process from outbound and inbound sales to the account management team

  • Develop management reporting using Salesforce and Excel, thereby tracking sales metrics in a timely manner and gaining insight on opportunities and threats
  • Further develop CRM tool (Salesforce) to systematically manage Sales and Marketing programs/campaigns, ensuring quality data and information accuracy to set the stage for further growth in 2024
  • Track and report on customer service KPIs to identify successes and improvement areas

Customer Obsession:

  • Resolve client escalations, working closely with cross-functional resources in this regard
  • Handling customer complaints and concerns in a timely and effective manner, ensuring customer service and customer retention are always a top priority
  • Collaborate with business leaders to develop customer feedback mechanisms

Leadership:

  • Mentor and coach team members in the achievement of key results and performance objectives through training on sales techniques, product knowledge, and customer engagement
  • Collaborate and develop plans which provide the Sales team with innovative strategies and sales tactics to lead them to success
  • Lead by example: demonstrates authentic leadership by living DOZR’s core values
  • Proactively addresses resource requirements in partnership with HR
  • Conduct employee interviews and undertake onboarding and orientation related activities
  • Manages team member performance, salary reviews and development plans

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience in outbound sales management, with a proven track record of exceeding sales targets in a B2C sales environment, preferable in a high touch client service industry
  • You have a proven track record of hitting quota, overcoming objections, and designing & executing opportunity plans that generate growth.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or related field
  • Experience in a 2-sided marketplace an asset
  • Strong leadership and mentorship skills and experience leading a small team of outbound sales representatives and account managers
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and strong customer-focused mentality
  • Data-driven mindset and comfort leveraging CRM platforms, Excel and other key sales-enablement tools.
  • Ability to navigate the internal environment, including working well with senior management and building strong relationships with employees and team leads from all departments (Product, Marketing/CRM, and others)
  • A positive attitude and natural inclination to ‘go the extra mile’ for DOZR and its customers. 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, KPI-driven environment
