Discord is seeking a passionate and experienced senior financial analyst to join our world-class finance team. Reporting to the Senior Director of Finance for Revenue & User growth, you will help drive and inspire conversations about Discord’s strategy through storytelling with data. You will be a deep thought and execution partner with Discord’s leaders across the org. You will also drive key elements of financial planning, reporting, forecasting, analysis, and insights. In addition, you will gain invaluable experience that offers autonomy, deep interactions with business partners, and the opportunity to impact a rapidly growing business.
What You'll Be Doing
- Strategic Partnership: Collaborate closely with leaders across data science, product, engineering, and operations to define and refine our revenue and user growth strategy
- Insightful Storytelling: Present compelling financial and growth insights to executive leadership, driving informed decision-making
- Process Innovation: Continuously improve our financial processes and introduce cutting-edge analytics tools to scale with our rapid growth
- Predictive Modeling: Develop sophisticated user growth and revenue models to forecast our future trajectory
- First Principles Thinking: Approach challenges with a fresh perspective, breaking down complex problems into their fundamental components
What you should have
- Proven Experience: 5+ years of experience in strategic finance, management consulting, strategy, data science, or related fields
- Analytical horsepower: A knack for synthesizing complex information into clear, actionable insights
- Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets, with a solid understanding of SQL, Looker, or similar data tools
- Growth Mindset: A relentless focus on progress, embracing a long-term perspective, and a willingness to learn and iterate
#LI-RemoteThe US base salary range for this full-time position is $152,000 to $167,000 + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role and level. Within the range, individual pay is determined by additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Please note that the compensation details listed in US role postings reflect the base salary only, and do not include equity, or benefits.
