The Job.
We’re looking for an experienced freelance production designer to join our bench—a detail-oriented professional ready to contribute to our international team of designers across three continents. At NJI, our creative team tackles complex challenges in public affairs, big tech, and nonprofits, harnessing creativity to shape perceptions and drive conversations.As a production designer, your role will be crucial in ensuring the highest standards of visual consistency and quality across client presentations, marketing materials, HTML5 ads, and more.
The ideal candidate has a keen eye for detail, thrives in a production-focused environment, and is proficient across the Adobe Suite. This position is ideal for someone with 2-3 years of experience in an agency setting, looking to bring their production expertise to impactful projects.While this job is fully remote, EST time zone is required.
What You Will Do.
- Build out design materials across diverse formats, including reports, OOH advertisements, events, presentations, social media, paid ads, web, and more.
- Work independently and adapt effectively to time zone differences with the core team.
- Uphold high standards of process and production technique, enhancing the overall quality of our work.
- Collaborate closely with designers and creative directors to execute concepts aligned with established client brand systems.
- Ensure consistency in fonts, text placement, photo treatments, and overall visual quality.
- Create accurate versions of digital banners, print ads, and other materials, rigorously adhering to brand guidelines.
- Maintain meticulous attention to detail, catching edits and inconsistencies across all client materials.
- Support display ad production, leveraging HTML, scripting languages, and relevant software for seamless execution.
- Prepare final files for digital and print production, ensuring they meet technical specifications.
- Apply a deep understanding of production tools, systems, and processes to optimize workflow and output.
- Stay current on production standards and technology to enhance user experience and align with organizational goals.
What We are Looking For.
- 2-3+ Years of Production Design Experience in an Agency: You have a strong foundation in production design, ideally within a fast-paced agency setting.
- Impressive Portfolio: Your portfolio showcases precision, attention to detail, and fluency across the Adobe Suite. Applications without a portfolio link or attachment will not be considered.
