As part of our commitment to providing an exceptional customer experience, we are seeking an Agent Contracting Specialist to join our dynamic Operations team.
JOB SUMMARY:
The Agent Contracting Specialist interacts with licensed agents, sales representatives, agent recruitment & insurance carriers to provide them with information to address inquiries regarding status of contracts, licensing and carrier appointments. They are responsible for helping gather data for Agent and Agency carrier appointments and tracking Agents and Agencies demographics and commission hierarchies within the company's applicable systems.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Review contracting and appointment paperwork from new agencies and submit agency transfers for completeness.2. Follow up with agents and agencies to obtain background information where applicable.3. Set up agencies to ensure proper hierarchy and accurate commission payments.4. Request missing information for Agent/Agency as needed via email or phone call.5. Enter and update agent licensing and carrier appointment information into databases, contracting spreadsheets, etc.6. Assist with contracting, appointment or licensing questions from internal and external parties via email or phone call.7.
Create and maintain an electronic filing system for all agent related documentation.8. Maintain compliance with all standards, controls, policies and practices from various carriers, DOI’s and TPA’s.9. Update demographic information, changes in commission assignment in the appropriate systems.10. Process requests within internal systems as well as working with external TPA’s/carriers to process agent of record changes for agent of record changes.11. Protect the privacy of all information received in the department.12. Other job duties assigned by the Producer Contracting Manager.
HIRING REQUIREMENTS:
● High School Diploma or equivalent● Minimum of 1-year previous office experience preferred● Ability to multi-task and work with deadlines● Desire to work in a fast-paced environment● Effective verbal, listening and written communication skills● Able to work with minimal supervision● Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and general technical troubleshooting● Exceptional interpersonal communication skills● Positive attitudeSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:NONECERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATION:NONE
