We’re looking for a Lead Data Platform Engineer to help us scale a data platform that processes petabytes of data to support our analytics, data science, and machine learning teams. In this role, you’ll lead the team that handles the entire ETL, data warehousing, and data governance processes, and you will also focus on architectural decisions for greenfield projects. In addition to that, you will coordinate closely with the head of engineering, head of product, machine learning, and analytics teams to build roadmaps, prioritize work, and drive team success.
In particular, you will:
- Lead and provide ongoing mentorship and support to the data platform team; build a culture that prepares them for high-impact contributions and encourages their professional growth.
- Administer and manage Snowflake and other data infrastructure.
- Serve as a subject-matter expert and decision-maker for data security, governance, and performance.
- Collaborate with analytics and machine learning teams to ensure they have the tools and infrastructure to deliver game-changing data products.
- Manage team’s daily operations.
Requirements
About you:
- Proven technical leadership or management experience in the areas of data engineering, analytics engineering, or data infrastructure.
- Deep expertise in ETL architecture and infrastructure tools.
- Excellent knowledge of SQL and data modeling tools.
- Excellent knowledge of Snowflake platform.
Nice to have:
- Experience with DBT (data build tool), GCP, and AWS.
- Expertise in DataOps and security.

The Base Salary range for this position is $180,000 to $215,000 USD. This range reflects base salary only and does not include additional compensation or benefits. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum range for a new hire across the US for the posted position.
