Probate Attorney – Royal Oak, MI – In-Person
Job Summary
Our client is looking for a probate attorney to join their growing probate, estate planning, and elder law firm with offices in Michigan, Illinois, and Ohio. This role is responsible for managing a caseload from start to finish, including client meetings, drafting, filing, and serving pleadings, and regular court appearances.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Michigan bar license
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to follow through
- Exceptional communication skills
- Ability to adapt well to change and maintain a positive attitude under stress
- Multitasking abilities and focus on urgent issues
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to travel for court hearings as needed
- Experience in probate litigation (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Meeting with clients initially to determine whether they are in need of our services
- Drafting, filing, and serving pleadings
- Managing clients’ expectations and returning all calls within 24 hours during the week
- Regular court appearances in the Metro Detroit area and beyond as needed
- Managing a caseload from start to finish
Requirements
- Degree: Juris Doctor (JD)
- Field Experience: 3 years in Probate Law (Wills, trusts, and guardianships), 1 year in Litigation
- Software Experience: Legal case management software proficiency
