- Drive technical direction with departmental leads and own projects from beginning to end.
- Set standards for code quality, testing and enterprise grade architecture, as well as the championing of documentation.
- Work alongside Product, UX, DevOps and other teams to prioritise and deliver new features and products for our customers
- Pair & buddy with junior and new members of the team to help them grow in their career at SigTech and beyond
- Keep up to date with new and developing technologies; championing and incorporating where appropriate
- Be responsible for the output of your team.
Requirements
What you'll need to succeed:
- A minimum of 4+ years experience in Software Engineering
- Exceptional understanding of Javascript / Typescript
- Solid understanding of NestJS, Express or similar NodeJS backend frameworks
- Experience in React, Angular or similar frontend technologies
- Cloud Architecture & System Design (preferably AWS)
- A keen interest in harnessing AI tools to supercharge productivity
- Experience with microservices / distributed systems
- Experience with test frameworks (Jest, Cypress, Mocha, etc.)
Great to haves:
- Prior experience or a strong interest in FinTech & SaaS
- Experience with Python a bonus
- Work experience in a start/scale-up
