Position Overview
This position will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining digital Photo Enforcement solutions for City Public Safety programs. The technician must insure the equipment within their regions maintain strict standards. The technician will act as the expert for, and custodian of, all documented evidence from this process. This position will require strong attention to detail, a high level of quality, 10 key proficiency, dependability and demonstrated priority and time management skills.
This position is part of our Field Service Organization.
Essential Responsibilities
- Ensure proactive routine maintenance deadlines are met while keeping active equipment above contractual requirements.
- Work closely with multiple internal and external teams to identify and resolve customer related issues resulting from equipment deficiencies. Initiate internal escalations, as necessary.
- Work closely with Maintenance Field Supervisor and Client Services Manager to keep service levels high.
- Perform daily checks of enforcement systems to confirm operations and monitor all systems as equipment dictates.
- Perform video survey as required for new business development.
- Monitor and document the timely completion of monthly validation program, work with field supervisors to adapt procedures to match equipment demands as technology evolves.
- Provide installation support for new approach builds on construction sites.
- Ability to travel within Alberta for job duties with short notices.
- Other duties and/or responsibilities assigned by Client Services Manager.
Qualifications
- Associate's Degree or Technical Institute Certificate in a Technical Field or related work experience.
- Experience in Digital Photography, network installation, and computer technology is preferred.
- Ability to work outside with minimal supervision.
- Valid Canadian Driver's License with good driving required is required.
- Background check and driver's abstract are mandatory upon hiring.
- Must be willing to submit to and return clean enhanced police background checks conducted by local police department as a condition of employment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong multi-tasking skills.
- Effective organizational skills.
Work Environment:
A field service technician will be regularly exposed to outside weather conditions such as wet and/or humid environments, extreme cold and/or heat, dusty and noisy work environments. Noise levels will typically be moderate to moderately loud. You may also be exposed to high, precarious places in Work at heights in excess of 10 ft. Regularly work near moving traffic and occasional night work with reduced visibility. Some weekend and overtime work may be required; overnight travel may be required with this position.
Field technicians frequently work alone. Field Technicians must have Knowledge of personal and construction safety practices on traffic work zone projects.
