We are looking for an experienced, hands-on Distribution Center Director to join our expanding team. This role is essential to the successful launch and operation of our new 200,000 sq. ft. distribution center in Fort Worth, Texas. The ideal candidate will bring an entrepreneurial mindset and a process-oriented approach to drive operational success. Key responsibilities include managing personnel, ensuring excellent service to our customers and distributor partners, maintaining safety standards, and overseeing inventory management.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Direct and oversee Receiving, Inventory Control, and Shipping operations, managing small parcel and LTL/TL freight.
- Develop and implement processes to enhance warehouse efficiency, ensure consistent delivery, and explore technological improvements.
- Establish clear business goals and metrics for Distribution initiatives; track and improve Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Monitor and improve the quality, cost, and efficiency of material and product movement and storage; analyze logistical challenges and find solutions.
- Manage relationships with external vendors (maintenance, staffing) and collaborate with supervisors for operational improvements.
- Conduct performance reviews, recommend personnel advancements, and ensure adherence to safety and OSHA compliance.
- Manage the annual budget, operational schedules, and staffing to meet daily and future business objectives.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 10 years of warehouse management experience, with strong leadership and supervisory skills: Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Extensive experience with WMS and ERP systems.
- Proven ability to manage budgets, P&L statements, and logistics.
- Experience working in a flow-through warehouse with external customers.
- Strong professional communication skills across organizational levels.
- Physical ability to handle frequent lifting (50 to 75 lbs) and work with material handling equipment.
- Math and analytical skills required.
- Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.Compensation: 125k - 140k
