The Director, Strategic Finance is an integral member of the company’s Strategic Finance team, and is responsible for providing timely, relevant, and accurate reporting and analysis of financial and operating performance. This is a high impact role on the finance team supporting key strategic initiatives, generating insights into business performance, and providing Virta’s leadership team with effective decision-making support.
Responsibilities
Prepare detailed budgets and forecasts, working closely with internal stakeholders to set targets and goals
Be an expert in Finance on all Tech & Ops and Provider spend, setting annual budgets, creating detailed and accurate monthly reporting and maintaining a rolling forecast to make sure leadership has clear visibility into resource deployment
Partner deeply with your cross-functional counterparts to continually understand their current roadmap and ensure that they are adequately resourced to execute that plan, supporting their freedom to make tradeoffs in spend allocations to maximize outcomes.
Evaluate the unit-economics of new products & features and their impact to the overall company financials in order to inform operational strategy
Dive deep into our operations and understand drivers of costs to both accurately forecast future trends and identify opportunities for optimization
90 Day Plan
Within your first 90 days at Virta, we expect you will do the following:
Establish strong working relationships with relevant stakeholders across the organization.
Help manage the Virta planning and forecasting process.
Optimize planning systems and processes, as needed.
Assist on strategic projects as needed.
Must-Haves
10+ years of finance experience, including experience at a leading technology or healthcare company. Experience at a publicly traded company is a plus.
Deep financial planning and modeling experience – ability to analyze financial data, create financial models, generate financial forecasts and play an important role in driving key business initiatives.
You are fluent and interested in accounting as well as financial planning and analysis, and comfortable working in systems.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Able to package and present complex analysis and recommendations clearly. Experience in presenting Board level analyses.
Mastery of Excel and Google Office Suite; experience with NetSuite and planning tools such as Pigment, Anaplan, or Adaptive Insights are a plus.
Undergraduate degree in finance, economics or a quantitative discipline.

Starting pay will be based on a number of factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience. For this role, the compensation range is $195,000 - $240,000.
