About the role
Project Delivery
- Project Delivery: Ensuring that projects medium to high complexity and / or medium to high-risk projects and / or single site to global deployments are successfully delivered to time, cost and quality measures using appropriate methodologies and industry best practice. Critical to ensure revenue recognition and deliver a great customer experience.
- Team Leadership: Promoting accountability by conducting staff annual performance reviews with direct reports and ensure that all team members are effectively participating in and using personal development, performance planning and management systems.
- Matrix management of customers and cross-functional teams including Nasstar resources and third-party suppliers
- Customer Experience: Responsiveness to customers and improving customer satisfaction so customers would recommend Nasstar.
- Project Governance: Leading the development of the project delivery processes/strategy and implementing improvements.
General
- Maintaining of standards within the Project Management community
- Maintaining and managing project controls and internal reporting requirements
How will success be measured?
Project Leadership and Mentoring:
- Lead and manage a diverse portfolio of projects, including cloud infrastructure (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) and Microsoft productivity solutions (M365, endpoint management, Teams Telephony).
- Implement Contact Centre solutions, successfully aligning user requirements with features deployed (e.g. call queues, omnichannel, recording features etc).
- Provide experienced management data centre migrations, helping our customers transition to Azure, to reap the benefits of this hyperscaler platform.
- Mentor and guide project managers and team members, fostering their professional growth and development.
- Responsible for setting and delivering to clear objectives and standards as required in project delivery, driving improvements to ownership, performance management and capability.
- Oversee the planning and execution of employee experience projects, ensuring seamless deployment of M365 and endpoint management solutions.
- Collaborate with technical teams to assess, plan, deploy and configure cloud components and endpoint technologies, ensuring optimal performance and security.
- Cultivate a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the project management team.
- Help build a culture of Project Delivery Excellence, across the organisation involving Project Managers, Pre-Sales, Sales, Operations and Finance employees.
Project Controls and Quality Assurance:
- Establish and maintain rigorous programme controls, encompassing risk assessments, change management, issue tracking, and quality assurance processes.
- Continuously monitor programme progress, ensuring alignment with timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Instil a culture of excellence and continuous improvement in programme delivery.
- Demonstrate strong decision making in resolving problems, making decisions and identifying priorities
Commercial Acumen:
- Develop and manage project budgets, forecasts, and resource allocation, identifying opportunities for cost optimisation.
- Support project bids, providing collateral for compelling and cost-effective bid responses, ensuring project delivery costs are adequately budgeted in the business case, and promoting project management capabilities in customer presentations where requested.
- Track project budgets and forecasts across the Project Management Team to explain variance and propose steps to take for programmatic course corrections when necessary. Review Monthly Project Reports to ensure strong monthly financial oversight.
- Play a key role in optimising project costs and ensuring profitability without sacrificing quality.
Stakeholder Management and Communication:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, carriers, software vendors, and cross-functional teams.
- Communicate project status, issues, and risks effectively to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment with project objectives.
- Professionally resolve conflicts and concerns, fostering collaboration and trust.
Delivery Approach Enhancement:
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of our connectivity delivery offerings, ensuring they remain competitive and innovative.
- Participate in the evaluation and adoption of innovative connectivity technologies, tools, best practices, and industry trends.
