Lead Senior Infrastructure Engineer!

Position Summary:  


As the Lead Senior Technical Consultant, this role focuses on guiding the design, deployment, validation, and implementation of scalable, customer-facing solutions across infrastructure, networking, cloud, and security. With a commitment to efficiency, confidence, and expertise, the Lead Senior Technical Consultant will serve as the primary resource for building, maintaining, and upgrading critical infrastructure components—including servers, storage, routers, switches, firewalls, remote access systems, and network management systems—adhering to best practices and established processes.

The core objective of this position is to ensure successful delivery and support for a large customer environment. 

Requirements 


Technical Escalation Point 

  • Act as the primary escalation point for technical issues encountered by the team.  
  • Guide team members through complex obstacles and mentor them on best practices.

Project Management & Delivery 

  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and according to quality standards.  
  • Collaborate with IT Management to align priorities with customer business objectives.  

Technical Management and Optimization 

  • Oversee and manage the customer environment, ensuring technical performance and uptime in accordance with customer requirements.  
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve network infrastructure issues to maintain service continuity and security.  
  • Install, test, evaluate and integrate various applications and third-party products, as well as related and unrelated subsystems. 
  • Oversee the architecture of future projects including but not limited to cloud infrastructure, networking infrastructure, and various other customer infrastructure items. 

Customer Engagement and Communication 


  • Build and maintain strong relationships with the stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor on technical matters.  

  • Provide regular status updates on project progress and manage customer expectations.  

Required Technical Experience:  


  • 5+ years of hands-on IT experience
  •  Familiarity with migration projects (email, server, cloud, etc.) 

Experience with the Microsoft Stack:


  • Office 365 – MCSA Office 365 

  • Microsoft Windows Administration tools (AD Users and Computers, DHCP, DNS, Group Policy, Sites and Services, etc.) 


  • Microsoft Active Directory 


  • Microsoft Exchange 2010/2013/2016/Office 365 


  • Azure  


  • Proficient with the management and implementation of Cisco Meraki hardware. 


  • Virtualization Experience - VMware Technologies & CITRIX 

Preferred Technical Experience: 



  • Microsoft Intune 


  • Experience with Citrix Technologies 


  • Experience managing on-premises and hosted data center environments 


  • Experience in Infrastructure and Operations services 


  • Experience in Enterprise Cloud Migration and Transformation 


  • Intermediate knowledge of Cloud Economics and Optimization 


  • Experience with a Managed Cloud service supporting AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform 


  • Previous experience with managed service providers, operational management, and ongoing continuous improvement preferred 

Preferred/Optional Certifications:  



  • Server Deployment – MSCA Windows Server 2016 


  • Cloud – AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate, Microsoft Certified Azure 


  • Network Basics – Cisco - CCNA 


  • Firewall – Checkpoint CCSA 


  • VMware – vSphere 6.5 Foundations Exam 


  • Security – Certified Network Defender 

Work Environment and Physical Demands  



  • Work primarily in a climate controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.  


  • Occasional lifting (up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds) may be required

  • The noise level in the work environment is moderate. 


  • Frequent regional and local travel required.
