A day in the life consists of:
- Developing analytics to produce metrics based on data tagging efforts
- Working directly with the customer to create innovative solutions
- Developing analytics using Java in a Linux environment
- Researching and working with AWS and other platforms for development
- Collaborating within a small team environment
Must haves:
- TS/SCI with Polygraph
- 2 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or
- No experience with a Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field or
- 4 years of relevant experience with an Associate’s degree or
- 6 years of relevant experience with a high school diploma/GED
- Software development/engineering experience including requirements analysis, installation, integration, evaluation, enhancement, maintenance, testing, and problem diagnosis/resolution
- Experience with Java Pig/MapReduce & Python
- Experience with AWS
- Experience with distributed scalable Big Data Store (NoSQL) such as H Base, CloudBase/Accumulo, Big Table, etc.
- Experience with Hadoop Distributed File System (HDFS) and technologies such as Hadoop, Hive, Pig, etc.
- Experience with Serialization such as JSON and/or BSON, developing restful services, and using source code management tools
- Experience with analytic development
- Experience with analytic development in a Linux environment
Nice to have:
- Familiarity with analytic development
- Experience with Maven and Git
- Familiarity with Apache NiFi
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Initiative and self-motivation
