The Junior Market Intelligence Analyst is responsible for the market analysis of various commodity markets.

The role will assess supply and demand drivers in a global context, monitor market developments, inform the commercial team about prevailing trends and potential market disruptions, prepare periodic reports and presentations for both internal and external use, and communicate with key areas of the organization including the commercial and risk management teams.Job Summary:The Global Tradeflow Data Analyst will play a crucial role in collecting, organizing, and maintaining global tradeflow data, focusing primarily on plastics and chemicals. This individual will be responsible for standardizing data from different platforms, identifying and cleaning errors, and ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of our data output models and dashboards.Responsibilities:

  • Collect and compile global tradeflow data for various commodities, with a focus on plastics and chemicals.
  • Standardize data pulled from multiple platforms, ensuring consistency and accuracy.
  • Clean and correct errors occurring during data entry, maintaining data integrity.
  • Manage frequent data updates, accommodating varying third-party data frequencies.
  • Maintain and update data output models and dashboards
  • Provide weekly and monthly reports.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to understand data requirements and ensure data visualization meets business needs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Data Science, Economics, Statistics) or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data manipulation and visualization techniques.
  • Basic understanding of data visualization principles and best practices.
  • Experience with databases, data entry, and simple mathematical models is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work quickly and efficiently.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
