GXM is seeking to hire an experienced and talented Senior Network and Computer Systems Administrator with a passion for managing and supporting an organization’s computer systems, networks, and IT infrastructure. A candidate should have the ability to install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network systems to ensure functional and secure operations. This role requires a strong understanding of both hardware and software architecture, as well as the ability maintain servers, routers, switches, and other network infrastructure.

Additionally, a candidate should be able to provide support for end-users and ensure network security, reliability, minimize downtime, resolve technical issues, and supporting day-to-day operations. This senior-level role will require advanced administrative skills and personnel management experience, ensuring the ability to prioritize work tasks in accordance with internal processes and procedures. A candidate should be able to lead the planning, design, and maintenance of connectivity for enterprise network assets, ensuring compliance and secure operations on unclassified and classified networks.

The Senior Network and Computer Systems Administrator will generate actionable recommendations for Government agencies based on analysis results and will analyze, and translate customer network data changes into MBSE SysML artifacts and elements.

Duties include but are not limited to


  • Install, configure, and maintain local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), and cloud-based networks.
  • Monitor and manage network performance to ensure high availability and reliability.
  • Configure and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and other network devices.
  • Troubleshoot network issues, including connectivity, performance, and security concerns.
  • Lead the planning, design, and maintenance of connectivity for enterprise network assets, ensuring compliance and secure operations on unclassified and classified networks (SIPR, NIPR, JWICS).
  • Oversee the integration of various hardware and software components, ensuring seamless communication and functionality between all system elements.
  • Offer technical support and expertise during system outages or failures.
  • Provide technical support and assistance to end-users, addressing hardware and software issues.
  • Analyze and translate customer data into MBSE SysML artifacts and elements.
  • Implement and manage security measures, including firewalls, encryption, and antivirus software, to protect systems and data from unauthorized access, malware, and other security threats.
  • Monitor and analyze system and network logs to identify potential security breaches or vulnerabilities.
  • Implement disaster recovery plans and ensure systems are regularly backed up.
  • Collaborate with other IT staff and departments to implement new technology solutions or upgrades.

Requirements

  • MUST BE A US CITIZEN
  • Top Secret SCI CI Poly
  • Must be able to work on-site (FT Meade) 5 days a week
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 10+ years of experience in an IT related field or similar role
  • DoD 8570.01-m IAT Level II Certification within 6 months of commencing work
  • Proficiency with Model Based System Engineering principles and tools
  • Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail
  • Proficiency with MS Office suite
  • Proficiency in Jira, Confluence, or similar issue tracking system
