Role Description
Manager, Engineered Products and Support ServiceFull TimeM-F, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
Job Summary
The Manager, Engineered Products and Support Services is a hands-on position responsible for ushering our custom designed engineering solutions through the manufacturing, assembly, final testing process and the administration of post installation support/ service. As part of a cross-functional team, this person has the responsibility of overseeing the fabrication team, assembly team and machinists. This person works with the Engineering leadership team to advise on the fabrication and assembly process as well as the associated lead times.
It is also the responsibility of this team member to provide design feedback in all design review meetings to ensure product designs are feasible throughout the fabrication/ assembly process and following existing company precedent.Image Engineering’s product offerings and number of permanent installations continue to increase and grow with market demand it is important that Image Engineering provides a robust service and support system for these sold and installed projects. It will be the responsibility of the Manager, Engineered Products to grow and oversee the administration of the Field Support and Service department.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Responsible for oversight of product fabrication and assembly process
- Direct management of fabrication and electrical/ fine assembly teams
- Oversee laser equipment technicians as well as the maintenance/ repair process
- Set assembly/subassembly deadlines and collaborate with the Associate Director, Engineering on overall project timeline and milestones
- Coordinate movement of projects from mechanical assembly to electronics/ fine assembly
- Create project milestones and continually check in on timeline
- Work with Systems Engineer to keep project Gantt charts up-to-date and revise as necessary
- Interface with the Research and Development Team to understand overarching product designs
- Provide feedback as to build/ assembly feasibility ensuring all company safety standards are maintained
- Assist the Quality Assurance Engineer with all Factory Acceptance Testing and institution of Quality Assurance Program
- Ensure all team members are adhering to Quality Assurance Program throughout fabrication and assembly process
- Ensure testing team is diligently carrying out final testing with high level of attention to detail
- Set project timelines and keep Gannt charts up to date
- Serve as a resource for Engineering design team in regard to product manufacturing design, field serviceability, assembly recommendation and issue troubleshooting/ solutions
- Spearhead development of service and support system within the Engineering Division
- Work with QA Engineer to develop customer service request process and SOP
- Oversee field service team and willingness to travel onsite for project support/ service as necessary
- Provide regular status updates to leadership based on project progress
Secondary Responsibilities:
- Provide oversight, feedback and coaching to assembly team members to aide in their personal and professional development
- Perform a (1) week, (1) month and (6) month check-in with all new fabrication and assembly team members
- Perform annual review for direct reports
- Oversee Engineering internship program and other duties as assigned

Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering
- Minimum of 5-years work experience in a relevant engineering position
- Able to work collaboratively with a cross-functional team in fast-paced environment on projects with short life cycles
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Able to pass background check
- 18 years of age or older
Salary Description$90,000 - $100,000/yr
