Job Summary:
Work for a world class kitchen operation serving baseball teams! Under the direction of the Executive and Sous Chefs, this position will be responsible for the preparation, cooking and serving of the performance food service operation for the Tampa Bay Rays baseball team in Port Charlotte, FL. (Work location is Englewood, FL)
**Seasonal Position- starting February 1st - April 1st (guaranteed 40 hours/week) with the possibility of extended employment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Both hot line and cold line cooking and preparation (May be working grill, prep, a la carte production, etc.)
- Uphold the integrity and standards of all the products
- Maintain sanitation, cleanliness, and organization of kitchen at all times
- Provide "Best in Class" hospitality for our high-profile client
Requirements:
- Self-motivated and passionate about cooking
- Strong creativity and interest in building healthy meals with lots of flavor
- Ability to follow recipes and adjust recipes as needed
- Professional demeanor, and a service-first attitude
- Excellent knowledge of kitchen equipment, safe sanitary practices, and culinary skills
- At least 1 year experience cooking in a professional kitchen
Ideal Candidates:
- Experience in batch cooking
- Looking for morning to afternoon cooking shifts
Work Requirements:
- Ability to perform the physical demands: On your feet for several hours at a time, ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, push a cart up to 200 pounds, withstand high temperature conditions, bend, kneel, and stoop
- Ability to work non-standard work week, including early mornings, weekends (we have no night shifts!)
- ServSafe Food Handlers or Manager Card
- Must be willing to submit to a background check
