Job Summary
The position of Intake Specialist is responsible for coordinating intake services, which includes gathering demographic information, providing support and resources depending on appropriateness, and scheduling assessment appointments. A critical element of Josselyn’s mission is to ensure that we create a reverberating positive impact on clients and this includes both clinical and non-clinical staff.
Essential Responsibilities and Metrics
- Interact with all clients and visitors in a respectful and welcoming manner
- Schedule appointments based on needs of clients and availability of providers
- Obtain pertinent information from new clients to begin services
- Answer 20-25 live/email intake inquiries per day and schedule IMCANS with appropriate staff
- Distribute Opening Paperwork to New Clients as part of the intake process
- Provide backup coverage to access team members
- Uphold HIPAA privacy standards for client data
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 1-2 years of prior experience in mental health required
- Excellent communication skills both written and oral
- Strong customer service orientation
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
