We are thrilled to announce an opening for a Financial & Executive Compensation Analyst to join our Verisk Human Resources team in Krakow!
Position overview:
This position will play a key role in the financial planning, budgeting and forecasting activities for Verisk’s Human Resources department. You will work closely with team members across all HR Centers of Excellence (COEs) and senior leaders to support data-driven decision making.This individual will utilize advanced accounting principles and financial modeling techniques to provide insights that optimize financial performance.This position will also provide support within the Executive Compensation function, assisting with key analysis to support Verisk’s compensation strategy and preparation of materials for the Talent Management and Compensation Committee of Verisk’s Board of Directors.
Key Responsibilities:
Budgeting & Forecasting:
- Collaborate with Human Resource leaders to develop, track, and manage the annual budget and financial targets
- Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual variance analysis to understand discrepancies between actual and forecasted results
- Coordinate with Accounting and Finance teams to ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled
Management Reporting:
- Develop and maintain comprehensive financial models to support business decision-making and strategic planning.
- Prepare detailed and accurate reports and presentations that provide insights and recommendations for senior leadership
Executive Compensation:
- Support the implementation of Verisk’s compensation strategy, with a focus on short and long-term incentives
- Support the development and delivery of related compensation education
- Conduct market research and benchmarking analysis to ensure pay competitiveness and support executive pay decisions
Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- At least 3 years of experience in a Corporate Accounting, Finance or Human Resources role
- Experience with financial systems and tools
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP, INDEX MATCH, charts/graphs) and PowerPoint
- Experience working with large data sets and building dynamic financial models

- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with multiple stakeholders
