The Senior Supply Chain Analyst will utilize their expertise in supply chain modeling, data analysis, and a deep understanding of supply chain management principles to provide onsite and remote federal program support.

RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Contribute to and support the development of MESC’s modeling and analysis portfolio, primarily through close coordination with a team of national lab experts and across DOE Program Offices to learn, apply, and evolve existing DOE and national lab modeling capabilities across clean energy technology supply chains and in support of industrial decarbonization. 
  • Implement modeling approaches and insights from across the suite of clean energy supply chain models (batteries, critical materials, rare earths, etc.) supported by DOE and its national laboratories
  • Leverage a technical background in analytical modeling and in energy technology areas (i.e., batteries, grid technologies, solar/PV, wind, and others) in conjunction with quantitative data—likely sourced from third-party providers and qualitative insights from and about existing DOE capabilities and gaps to inform new priorities and development directly and with national lab support of promising potential energy supply chain needs and opportunities for future MESC programming, including but not limited to supply chain forecasting tools
  • Critique and improve existing analytical approaches previously supported by DOE, including identifying synergies across modeling approaches and potential also including adapting/advancing/redeveloping those models for accuracy and extensibility
  • Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams across DOE, including technology program offices such as the Office of Electricity, Solar Energy Technologies Office, etc., as well as overarching offices such as the Office of Policy, Office of International Affairs, etc., to support project deliverables and cultivate consensus through team-based research efforts

Requirements

  • Minimum of US Citizenship required to obtain client-issued Public Trust
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in supply chain analysis, modeling, and optimization
  • Experience in demand forecasting, inventory management, transportation, and network optimization
  • Experience working with supply chain simulation and optimization tools (e.g., AnyLogistix, Llamasoft, AIMMS, or equivalent)
  • Expertise in software applications like Excel, Tableau, Power BI, Python, R, and supply chain management platforms
  • Familiarity with ERP, WMS, or TMS systems is desirable
  • Strong experience with data analysis tools and languages (e.g., Excel, SQL, Python, R) for modeling, analysis, and visualization
  • Advanced proficiency with data analysis, statistical modeling, and forecasting techniques.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain processes, including procurement, production, distribution, and logistics 
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail, and an understanding of fundamental business writing
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office Products (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Business Analytics, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plusCOMPENSATION: Includes paid holidays, vacation, sick leave, 401k matching, life insurance, health, vision, and dental benefits.
