Are you ready to be at the forefront of the clean energy revolution? MetOx International, Inc. is seeking a Technical Strategy Intern to join our dynamic team and play a vital role in reshaping the future of power generation and distribution.
Based at our global headquarters in Houston, TX, the Technical Strategy Intern supports our technical strategy team in advancing MetOx’s long-term goals. This intern will assist in evaluating engineering initiatives, analyzing industry trends, and providing insights that help guide our technical roadmap. This is a hands-on opportunity to gain exposure to strategy development within a high-tech, fast-paced environment and to work closely with our experienced engineering leaders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Analysis & Research
- Conduct research on industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscape to inform strategic decisions in engineering and production.
- Assist in analyzing technical data and synthesizing findings into actionable insights for the engineering team.
- Project Support
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support strategic engineering projects, contributing to planning, research, and tracking of project milestones.
- Assist in evaluating the feasibility and impact of proposed engineering initiatives on MetOx’s goals, documenting findings for decision-making.
- Technical Documentation & Reporting
- Help prepare reports, presentations, and technical summaries that communicate key findings, recommendations, and progress on strategic initiatives.
- Support the creation and maintenance of documentation for strategic engineering projects and process improvements.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Materials Science, or a related technical field.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Coursework or experience in data analysis, research methodologies, or strategic planning is a plus.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Strong analytical skills with an ability to interpret technical data and extract meaningful insights.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience with data visualization tools or project management software is a plus.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to clearly present complex information.
- Detail-oriented with a curious and analytical mindset.
- Self-motivated, with a strong desire to learn about engineering strategy and its impact on business success.
- Collaborative team player who can adapt to a dynamic work environment.
Physical Demands:
This position requires sitting at a desk and viewing a computer screen for extended periods while working or performing other office tasks. Ability to move around the office, including occasional standing, walking, and bending to retrieve documents, attend meetings, or use office equipment. Some light lifting may be required, up to 20 lbs.
