Your Responsibilities in Detail
- Provide strategic advise and solutions for complex VAT challenges
- Lead VAT projects driven by legislative changes or business initiatives
- Contribute to developing effective indirect tax processes and controls
- Steer data preparation process, assure timely submission of indirect tax returns and payments
- Support tax due diligence for potential business acquisitions
- Respond to ad hoc or tax audit requests from fiscal authorities on indirect tax matters
- Participate in cross-functional projects
Your Background
To join our team, you bring along
- Experience in a multinational organization or accountancy firm
- 5+ years of experience in indirect tax law
- Detailed knowledge of EU and UK indirect tax laws, with an understanding of international tax concepts
- Experience in tax audits with the German Tax Authorities
- Experience with ERP systems and sales tax/VAT engines
- Self-motivated and capable of managing workload independently
- Strong ability to prioritize, think strategically, and identify process improvements
- Excellent communication and analytical skills.
- Strong team player and relationship builder.
- Fluency in German
